#4205 - Custom Controller Action

Open Bug? created by VagasTecnologia Verified Purchase a year ago

Hello. We are evaluating Kanban View to our company, and we have 2 issues:

  1. We're using SugarCRM CE 6.5.22 and in our tests it seem Kanban drag and drop don't run save_action() function on my custom controller extension. Do not show or log any error.
Note: This function runs on SugarCRM save button.

  2. We are going to migrate to SuiteCRM because your product runs in both CRM and it is the main factor in choosing your product. I think we would use the same licence key when we migrate. Is it true?

Best Regards
Baraza

    Hello,
    1) To save module entries, the standard save function is used. Why the custom controller extension does not work - we will not be able to say.
    2) Yes, let me know if you will have some trouble with licence.

    Hi.

I did a simple test. I created a new Custom Controller class on sugarcrm/custom/modules/Leads/controller.php:
    <?php require_once('modules/Leads/controller.php'); class CustomLeadsController extends LeadsController { function CustomLeadsController() { $logFile = fopen("/var/www/sugarcrm/aaaaaaaxxxxxxxxxx.log", "w"); fwrite($logFile, "ok"."\r\n"); fclose($logFile); } } ?>

Opening any Lead register, change status and save, the new controller creates new file "aaaaaaaxxxxxxxxxx.log".
On KanbanView, if I drag and drop any Lead from one column to another (status column), kanban changes status but don't create the new file.

How Kanban View save the register?

    Regards
    Baraza

      Hello,
When drag-n-drop cards on Kanban, the standard method SugarBean::save() is used. Our plugin is open source and you can verify this yourself.
