Creating an SMS from a contact
The steps to follow to create an SMS from a contact are described below.
First, the contact must meet the following three prerequisites in order for him to receive an SMS :
● The contact must have a phone number in the Mobile field (phone_mobile). ● The telephone number must be in the format country code + number. Example for France: + 33xxxxxxxxx ● The « SMS opt in » checkbox must be checked.
Example :
Go to the “SMS Messages” sub-panel then click on « Create »
It's then possible to enter the message as well as a sending date.
Info : ● If the message is ready to go, choose the status « Send SMS » ● If the message is ready but must be sent later, choose a sending date in the future and select the status « Send SMS »
The message can be personalized through the use of variables. It's also possible to use a template if the message is sent regularly.
Once registered, a message with the status « Send SMS » is processed by the scheduled tasks of the module which will take care of sending.
Once the message has been sent the status will be “Sent”, in the event of a problem the status will be “in error”.
Creating an SMS from an account
The steps to follow to create an SMS from an account are described below.

● The account must have a phone number in the Phone field (phone_office). ● The telephone number must be in the format country code + number. Example for France: + 33xxxxxxxxx ● The « SMS opt in » checkbox must be checked.

Go to the « SMS Messages » sub-panel then click on « Create »
It's then possible to enter the message as well as a sending date.
Info : ● If the message is ready to go, choose the status « Send SMS » ● If the message is ready but must be sent later, choose a sending date in the future and select the status « Send SMS »

Once registered, a message with the status « To be sent » is processed by the scheduled tasks of the module which will take care of sending.
Once the message has been sent the status will be « Sent », in the event of a problem the status will be «Failed».
Using variables
It’s possible to customize the message sent through the use of variables.
When editing the message, depending on the relationship that is made (Account or Contact), a list of corresponding fields is offered to the user.
It's then possible to choose a field from the list, click on the « copy the selected field » button and then paste it at the desired location in the message.
Creating and use an SMS template
It’s possible to manage the SMS templates from the module dedicated for this purpose :
To create a template, click on « create », in the module or in the menu:
Then enter the name in the template, choose if it's based on the Contacts and Accounts module and then create the message.
The message can contain variables to further personalize the communication.
Finally, click on « Save » to be able to use it.
The template is then displayed in the list of those available:
To use a template, all you have to do is select it when creating the message, example below when as part of a message to a contact :
Creating an SMS campaign
It’s possible to manage SMS campaigns from the module dedicated to this purpose :
To create a campaign, click on « create », in the module or in the menu:
Then fill in the details of the campaign : ● The name of the SMS campaign ● The date of dispatch ● The associated module (Contacts or Accounts) ● The associated template
Important: Leave the campaign status at « Draft » at this stage :
Then click on « Save », the campaign is then available :

Then add the recipients (Accounts or Contacts depending on the target of the campaign) via the corresponding sub-panel.

When the campaign is ready, change the status to « Generate all SMS Messages » :
Scheduled tasks will process the list of messages to be sent. The messages sent will appear in the « SMS Messages » sub-panel of the campaign with the details of the statuses per message:
Viewing sent SMS messages
On the contacts and accounts it's possible to view the details of the messages sent as well as the related campaigns :
