#783 - Not all Leads load to Target List

Closed Bug? created by scottc 4 years ago

When trying to add Leads to the Target List, I use the select button and select only the Leads with a status of "New", which returns 2,486 Leads. I do a Select All to select all of them and then I click the select button to add them to the Target List under Leads. However, it only associates 1,006 records to the Target List, even though I selected 2,486. Why won't it associate all of the records?

Hi Scott, there could be a lot of reasons that's happening and it's hard to know if it's SugarChimp-related. Have you checked the logs to see if Sugar is throwing logging any errors?

is your Target List already set to be synced to MailChimp? Is there a value set for the "MailChimp List" field on the Target List? If it does have a value, try setting that to a blank and save the target list. Then try to add all of your leads again. And then set the "MailChimp List" field back to what it was.

    Thanks!

Sorry for my ignorance, but what is the path and filename of the log file?

You can find it in the root Sugar directory and it's usually called sugarcrm.log. If you're running it on unix/linux it may be somewhere like /var/www/ but the actual path is going to be specific to your setup.

Also another thing to consider on the import issues, you may want to make sure there are no duplicates in the list view that you are adding them from. For Sugar in general, sometimes you may have duplicates show up in your list view and when you add them to your target list, it will only add the unique records. It's always possible this is SugarChimp related, but there's a lot of Sugar-things that it could be too.

I have logging mode set to Debug, yet I don't see anything related to sugarchimp in the logs. I do see that out of the 2,486 records in my list view, 214 have duplicate email addresses, so I would expect to only get 2,272 records added to the Target List. But only 1,000 some are adding to the list. Can you provide me any further help as to why not all unique records are adding to the list?

On your Target list, does it have a value for the "MailChimp List" field? If it does, please edit the Target List, set "MailChimp List" to blank and then save the target list. After doing this, try to add your contacts to the list. If you still only get 1000ish added, then it's going to be a Sugar error. If all contacts get added, then it's something wrong with SugarChimp.

I'm not sure if anything will show up in the logs on this action, it's always a good first place to check.

I never did get this resolved, and I don't see anything in the logs. Can we schedule a call tomorrow, 9/30 sometime after 10:30 CT?
