#2975 - Sync never completes

Closed Bug? created by jrhodes Verified Purchase 7 years ago

SugarChimp v7.8.2f SugarCRM v7.7.2.1

I've got a large list in Sugar - 23,478 in my Target List in Sugar, but only 16,610 in MailChimp list.

On the Health Status page and the Scheduler, it keeps updating that my jobs have run successfully, but the List Sync Status never changes from "In-progress"

This is what I see when searching the log for "SugarChimp" - lots and lots of this repeated:

> Tue Mar 21 14:25:20 2017 [23403][1][FATAL] SugarChimp:fatal:1490106320: SugarChimp_Queue::queue_mailchimp_subscribers table_name: sugarchimp_mc > Tue Mar 21 14:25:20 2017 [23403][1][FATAL] SugarChimp:fatal:1490106320: SugarChimp_Queue::queue_mailchimp_subscribers group_fields: Array > ( > ) > > Tue Mar 21 14:25:20 2017 [23403][1][FATAL] SugarChimp:fatal:1490106320: SugarChimp_Queue::queue_mailchimp_subscribers group_var_map: Array > ( > )

Hello, thanks for reaching out. We're happy to help with this.

It's not uncommon for your Sugar Target List number to be different from your MailChimp List number. There are many reasons for this. Please take a look at this document that explains why here: https://www.sugaroutfitters.com/docs/SugarChimp/my-sugar-and-mailchimp-list-counts-do-not-match

Take a look at the people in Sugar on your Target List, try to find someone that is on your Sugar Target List, but not in MailChimp then compare it to the reasons in that document. If you find one you think should have made it to MailChimp let us know.

Let us know what you find. Thanks!

There are several examples that the marketing team have found for me of newly added contacts that didn't sync over to MailChimp. It's kind of complicated by the fact that they had to do a CSV import into MC in order to do a mailing campaign. But the last contact that was added to MailChimp's list via "API-Generic" (i.e. via SugarChimp) was on 1/10/17.

And, as I said, it never changes from "in-progress" on the Health Check page.

    Hello,

Can you schedule a call for us to look at the syncing and schedulers together? We have some debugging tools that should be able to help us figure out what's going on with the people who are not reaching MailChimp. Here is the easiest way to do that: https://calendly.com/fanaticallabs/sugarchimp-support

I look forward to talking with you.

    Thanks, Jon

    Hello,

We were able to get on a call and troubleshoot. The queues were stacked up both from Sugar to MailChimp and MailChimp to Sugar. The scheduler was only running every few hours OnDemand, causing it to be unable to process the information with any speed.

We installed the latest package to clear out any bad logs, then cleared the tables, set the scheduler to run every 5 minutes, and queued a Sugar to MailChimp resync. 25k subscribers are set to get pushed to MailChimp.

Greg is going to follow up with me tomorrow to see how the queues are going. I look forward to hearing back on how it goes.

    Thanks! Jon

    Hello,

Do we have any update on the status of the integration? Is everything running smoothly now that we've cleared the queues and set the schedulers to run more often?

    Thanks, Jon

Thanks Jon, it's working perfectly now. Clearing the queues and understanding how the scheduler works and having it set right means everything is now working great. All the contacts are synced like they are supposed to be.
