#2023 - Sync of Sugar CRM Target list

Closed Bug? created by marketing20 8 years ago

Hi, I have created a target list in Sugar that contains Targets, Leads and Contacts, these are all synced with Mailchimp through field mapping.

On each stage of our client's journey they progress from a target, to a lead and then a contact. the problem I am having is that when this happens, they are then in the target list three times and Mailchimp is only using the fields/information of the target so i am unable to select fields that have been updated when they are made a lead.

    Hey,

I understand your concerns here, we should be able to get something working! Let's go ahead and upgrade your SugarChimp to the latest package. You can do that by going to your Account dropdown > Purchases. Download the SugarChimp for SugarCRM7. You can upload it at admin > Module Loader.

Then, can you take a screenshot of your Field Mapping page for me. You will notice some slight changes as we have removed Accounts from the Field Mapping. This should give me a good idea of where you're at with the different modules on the list.

As far as how MailChimp receives data from a Sugar record, it will all depend on when a change happens within Sugar. A MailChimp subscriber should reflect the most recently changed record in Sugar. So if you change a synced Lead's data in Sugar, it will push all synced fields over to the MailChimp subscriber. When the synced Contact changes, SugarChimp will push any synced fields for Contacts over to the MailChimp subscriber.

Let me know if I can clarify that further, or if that is not what you are finding! Thanks.
