#1115 - Security Suite does not work for Quote\Invoice\Contract modules in SuiteCRM 7.1.1

Closed Bug? created by himingby 9 years ago

Hi eggsurplus,

I am on SuiteCRM 7.1.1. I do the same setup on Quotes module and Account module, it works in Account module, but does not work in Quotes module. Does Security Suite support the Quotes module in SuiteCRM 7.1.1? How to fix it? Thanks in advance

    Hello,

It's hard to explain, but Quotes is a "custom" module in SuiteCRM and for whatever reason that module isn't connected to Security Groups by default. Only core modules that exist in the SugarCRM engine that SuiteCRM is based on are. That is a choice of the fork. So it needs to be hooked up to Security Groups either manually, which is difficult to get right, or by using the Hookup Tool which is available in the paid-for edition of SecuritySuite here. Whatever you do just don't try to use Studio to create a custom relationship from the Quotes module to Security Groups. It just won't work and will cause more headaches down the road.

Hope that explanation makes sense! -Jason

    Hi Jason,

Thank you for your fast response. How to hook up to Securty Groups manually? Is there any document to follow up? If I will buy the Paid-for version of Security Suite, Is there any document of hook up? thus, I will do via the document. Do you provide support if I have some questions?

In the paid-for version here you just go to the Admin page and then click on "Hookup Tool" in the SecuritySuite panel. From there, simply select the module and click a button. It'll do the rest for you. Support is always included here. The manual method is too hard and I can't support it. Too much time wasted by people trying to do it when there is a tool that you can use to do it in seconds.

    Hi Jason,

I have two questions, 1. is it support SuiteCRM all versions? you know, SuiteCRM has installed the Security Suite originally. need to uninstall the Security Suite first and how? or it will override the original Security Suite if I install the Paid Security Suite? Is there some document? 2.what is the Price? How to pay, Credit Card? I am in China.

    Thanks, Chris
