Install Error after installing site version adding gmail info hit test and it switches screen?

Also note that the documentation never explains Site vs OnDemand and my installation would only allow one to install. After installing, rebuilding, adding licenses/users to RT menu selection (which DOC says will appear on main menu - it does not, its under ALL menu), and adding the fmail id/pwd fields as required. I hit the test, and it switches the screen (executes a request to server?), back to user view. Next it never synch's with my google account.

    Hi Scott,

    Please have a look on following points for answers of your queries.

    1- Installation is same for OnDemand and OnSite Instances therefore SINGLE documentation explains the both. 2- Can you please send us screenshot for the issue you are observing? In Success scenarios, on hitting Test Connection button, it says "Successful" and then on saving the profile, it switches on a screen with a Blue button "ALLOW" and on clicking on it, it redirects back on Sugar Home Screen 3- Please make sure for your Instance Schedulers are working because if cron job is not setup then schedulers wont work and GSync wont sync data.

    Please send us screenshot for the issue you are facing on hitting test button. Hope it helps

      1- Doc refers to Sugar6_plus_GSynch, file (I used) is called GSync_onSite_Sugar6 - if your expecting your customers to guess what file to install of the 3 you have available - that is frustrating. As a professional full-stack software developer, I can say poor documentation is not a sign of a quality product. 2 - I hit the test, it went to "ALLOW", I clicked allow, it tried to go back to SugarCRM (probably via http protocol) - and my instance is configured for https only (no cross over). It displayed page not found error, which (I don't have time to debug this stuff), I simply went back to my Sugar work. Does anyone really use http for sales/contact data any more? 3- Complement; scheduler section seemed clearer. I setup the crontab as required for sugar, and I setup the synch for your app (it comes configured "Disabled") which I "enabled". 4- It is still not synching.

    Hi Scot,

    Regarding your Point 2, We got that what actually the problem is, Please perform following step and let us know your findings.

    a) Go into Configoverride.php file which is placed on root b) Here you will find the following $sugar_config['GOOGLE']['STATE'] = 'http://localhost/Sugar7521GSync/#bwc/index.php?module=Users&action=GoogleOauth';

    You just need to make sure that URL(Test URL) mentioned here should be of your sugar instance, if not then please paste here your sugar URL so you need to update only following section *http://localhost/Sugar7521GSync/#bwc/index.php (leave rest of the URL as it is)

    Hopefully it would resolve the issue. Please let us know your findings after performing this. Sync will work.

      Support-

      1) unix command "sudo find / -name Configoverride.php -print" yields nothing (changing case yields nothing). perhaps you mean config_override.php ?
      Please test instructions before sending them, you would want the same from anyone else.

      2) I now click on the test button under User EDIT and after clicking it brings me back to index.html, no messages or anything. After my first google synch it did this.

      Perhaps you might want to add to the documentation some notes about file names, and this entry to config to allow https.

      1- Yes We were talking about config_override.php. We shall update our FAQs section too for such users who faces this issue.

      2- Scott it seems your Gmail Id Authentication is completed and Now you can test your GSYnc functionality by creating records.

    I did change the config_override.php assuming that was the correct file and #2 occurs after that fix.
