#2957 - Sync not working properly

Closed Bug? created by madmat 7 years ago

I have the following situation: 2 Lists: List a "test" list with 101 entries, synced to leads and list b with 8343 entries, synced to contacts.

Syncing list a works w/o any problems. 101 new leads were created and synced to SuiteCRM. Re-Scheduling also works fine. But when it comes to list b Pending List Activies from MailChimp stays 0 and no new contacts are created. It also says sync completed right after the scheduler ran. Is there a problem with the amount of entries?

We're using SugarChimp Version: 7.8.2f SugarChimp Edition: basic And SuiteCRM Version: 7.7.6

    Hello,

I apologize for the trouble. There is no issue with that number of subscribers to be synced. Can you scroll to the bottom of your Health Status page and select a 'MailChimp to Sugar resync' for list b. The default sync will not automatically create those people within SuiteCRM, unless you check the box for 'sync MailChimp subscribes back to Sugar' during step2 of the syncing process.

Also, can you check the Target List in Suite to see if it is showing anyone there? If SugarChimp found matching Contacts/Targets/Leads to those already in MailChimp, we will not create any new ones. Instead, we will just add the matches to the Target List for you.

The Activities from MailChimp are going to be different from the 'Pending from MailChimp' box. Pending from MailChimp will be the people in MailChimp who are waiting to be processed in Sugar (not necessarily created).

I look forward to hearing back from you.

    Cheers! Jon

Okay I've setup the list b again. Checked that box "Sync MailChimp subscribers back to Sugar" and saved. Then there was the Mailchimp to Sugar Sync queued in the Health Page. Afterwards I reloaded the page and it says "Sync Completed". In this moment I assume to have my 8343 Entries in Sugar as new Contacts or updated Contacts if they existed before. Yet my contacts have not changed in any way. In Suite the DV of TargetList list b says 8434 entries and there are 191 contacts related to this list. Still there are missing 8152 contacts that should have been created from SugarChimp, right? At least it worked this way with Leads from list a. Does SugarChimp create its own logfile?

    Hello,

It typically takes a couple scheduler runs for the Contacts to get brought into SugarCRM. We do this so that we do not bog down Sugar during the syncing process. We need to give it a little time to import the subscribers.

To confirm what you're saying above, there are no Leads or Targets associated with the Target List, only 191 contacts, correct? If that is the case, then what you're saying is correct. We can only log to the sugarcrm.log file, but we do have the ability to turn up logging so that we can see more of the process if we need to.

Give the scheduler bit of time to run and bring in the new Contacts. If we get to that point and do not see any changes, I believe it would be best to get on a screenshare to further debug the syncing issue. Let me know what you find and I will send over a link to schedule a call if we need to.

    Thanks, Jon

    Hello Jon,

so the scheduler ran without any problems but the contacts in list a are still at 191. Send me an Email to huebner@jakota.de so I can tell you my Teamviewer ID and pass or the link for the call.

    Hello,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. We typically use GoToMeeting for these support calls and the best way to schedule availability is with my Calendar here: https://calendly.com/fanaticallabs/sugarchimp-support

If you could schedule a time, I'll give you a link on the invitation so we can screenshare. You should be able to find some availability this afternoon or tomorrow.

    Thanks, Jon
