#308 - Sync calendar

Hello,

Once the sync module is installed I have problems with creating and syncing calendar events. When I try to create a task in the SUgarCRM Calendar, I get the error "Error saving".

Also as you can see in the log below, a calendar sync seems to fail. On a side note it seems to sync every minute even though I chose to sync it every 5 minutes.

Any idea?

    Just to let you know, I tried uninstalling the module completely (with tables) and reinstalling it again. Once its uninstalled, I have no problems but when I install it again, the same problem persists.

    I have sugarcrm ce 6.5.16.

    I also tried deactivating the Calendar Sync in the GSync options. Now I still get errors when I modify the calendar events but its easier to pinpoint the error message which is:

    Sun Dec 1 16:46:46 2013 [20662][1][ERROR] fromUser: Conversion of from user format Y-m-d H:i failed

    Anyway, not sure if any of this helps, but I'm letting you know what I find as I move forward.

    We are sorry to hear about your installation problems. Thank you so much for sharing your errors.

    1. First, we do want to make sure that you installed the correct package for your SugarCRM services. If your URL is (ex. francoiseric.sugarondemand.com) you would need the OnDemand Package. If (ex. francoiseric.sugarcrm.com), then use the OnSite package. Right now we don't have a way of tracking exactly what instance you downloaded (OnDemand or OnSite) so we apologize for this confirmation request.
    2. Double check the Cron job and make sure this is set up properly on your end as well?
    3. Please refer back to the Installation Guide https://www.sugaroutfitters.com/docs/gmail-sync/installation-guide to confirm that there were no missed steps.

    If all 3 above requests checkout correctly, we will open a ticket with our Developers to check deeper into your problem. In this case, they will need to have your SugarCRM URL with an Admin User Name & Password to access the download. This can be emailed to us at modulesales@datasyncorp.com .OR, we can schedule a GoTo meeting for screen sharing. (English preferred language) Let us know what would work best for you.

    Hello, 1) Thanks for your answer. Just to make sure I uninstalled the package, redownloaded the on site version (version 20131118) and reinstalled from scratch 2) Yes here is the cron of my www-data user: * * * * * cd /var/www/sugarcrm; php -f cron.php > /dev/null 2>&1. The www-data user is the php and apache user. Everything under /var/www/sugarcrm is under ownership of www-data 3) I reinstalled everything following the guide step by step.

    I still have the same problem. Yes I would like to schedule a GoTo meeting. Let me know how you wish to procede. I am available all day today. English is perfect.

    Hello, Do you have any idea of the timeframe to look into my problem. I don't want to put any pressure but I have to uninstall the module in the meantime because my whole calendar is not working.

    Thank you for your patience on this. This is what our Developer said. "I have looked into this ticket but couldn't find anything in log which can help us out. I need to debug this issue by logging into their system. Let me know if they can give us access to their system or we have to do a GoToMeeting session with them."

    I am not sure of your timezone but I do believe a GoToMeeting w/the Developer is the most logical next step. DataSync will send you a separate invite with the LOGIN information. Please reply immediately if the date & time does not work for you. Thank you- DataSync Module Sales Team.

    Hello,

    I have tried the above link but the SSL is already not forced.

    Here is a resume of all the problems I am encoutering right now: 1) Calendar not syncing at all for user jp.harvey@jarca.ca (Reason: Bad Authentication) 2) Events for which a user is invited are not synced to Google Calendar. For example if JP invites François to a meeting, François will see the event in his SugarCRM calendar but will not see it in the Google Calendar (the log does not give an error message). The event is just not synced. 3) Contacts not synced: No contacts are synced for any user. We only wish to activate the Sugar->Google sync but it does not work.

    I have to say that this is getting frustrating as I like the concept of your project since it has what I desire but it just doens't work.

    Hi, This issue has been resolved. If anyone else facing this issue in their contacts module can get help from following

    1. Login to your Google apps admin account
    2. Point your browser to https://admin.google.com/AdminHome#ServiceSettings/service=Contacts&notab=1
    3. Unmark checkbox "Enforce SSL" in front of Contacts APIs
    4. Press save changes

    After following above instructions update/create any contact in sugar and wait for scheduler to run and then check it should be synced.
