RT GSync: Google Calendar, Contacts, Drive Sync

Hi TJP,

Can you Please make sure that installation went successful. Please check for following points to make sure: -Schedulers of GSync are working correctly If cron job is setup - License Key is entered correctly under GSync License Management and Enabled Users List contain Users Enabled. - Gmail ID and Password is entered correctly under Admin Profile settings and Authentication has been done successful.

If above mentioned steps are done correctly then GSync would work smoothly.

License key is accurate Gmail id and password tests ok There is no cronjob under root so this is probably our issue

Well this seems to have fixed itself somehow but these are the current issues we would need resolutions to in order to make Gsync our syncing solution of choice:

Didn't seem to import the user column consistently or it didn't import all registered users accounts for some reason. (It imported one group of contacts with no user and never did sync the updates made to them) How does it interpret/handle duplicates? We need to be able to just sync what we want and leave the rest or personal contacts out.

Hi TJP, It seems your cron job is working fine now therefore We are replying against your following queries only.

1- Didn't seem to import the user column consistently or it didn't import all registered users accounts for some reason. It imported one group of contacts with no user and never did sync the updates made to them. (GSync works for Contacts Sync, not for accounts sync., Please elaborate if We are taking some thing wrong regarding this question) 2- How does it interpret/handle duplicates? (** If there are two contacts in sugar having same email IDs than both will be synced in Google on the basis of their Record Id as both contains different & their own record ID.)** 3- We need to be able to just sync what we want and leave the rest or personal contacts out. (By default GSync works to sync all Contacts, If you want to sync a particular type of contacts then We can do customization for you, For this Please contact at support@rolustech.com)

Looking Forward

There were three basic items that we needed that this didn't seem to provide:

1. A simpler "just works" install or better documentation outlining the possible pitfalls and what we should see.
2. The ability to manage duplicates before they hit the database.
3. The ability to sync just the important contacts (could do it by group, by company, or anything else you come up with, but syncing ALL contacts then weeding out the ones we don't need just isn't an option)

We can't at this time justify paying for these basic features, but if we can, we will keep you in mind.
