Good day. We are in the mid of upgrading our SugarChimp from version 7.5.5a to latest version 8.1.1. There's no error during the upgrade, and the logs as follows:

We manually go to the License Configuration screen as we are not being re-direct automatically.

As per process to check License Configuration, it failed to validate to our license key.

Checked and confirmed we have a valid Subscription.

Can you please advice on this.

    Hello Jane,

    I'm glad to hear you're in the upgrade process, and hope we can get it resolved quickly for you. We have changed quite a bit since 7.5.5, including our licensing and setup pages. I can see now that you've got a positive license ping on the new SugarChimp 8.1.1 showing in your Sugar8 instance. Is it working now?

    If not, let's check the simple fixes first:

    -Can you go to Admin > Repair > Quick Repair and Rebuild. Run that and execute any queries that show up on the bottom. From there, see if you can get to the SugarChimp Configuration and validate again.

    If not,

    -I see you The .zip file that you installed to Sugar, what does it end in (ex. "-Sugar7.zip","-SuiteCRM.zip")? Do they match?

    If they match,

    -Can you send over a screenshot of your Admin > Module Loader page where SugarChimp is? You can email us at support@sugarchimp.com.

    We will get it fixed up for you.

    Hello again,

    I have received your screenshot and everything indeed looks good on the installation there. Can you send over a few more pieces of diagnostics to see if we can narrow down what the issue could be: 1. Right click on your browser, go to inspect. Switch to the Console tab, and then paste:


    SUGAR.App.api.call('CREATE',SUGAR.App.api.buildURL('SugarChimp/setting/logger/debug'),{},{});


    1. Go to Admin > SugarChimp Configuration > Step 2. Delete the current license key, and put this in: 5fa58c5740846d4619b062ef28a868ab
    2. Try to validate that license key (It is a demo key and will disable in a few days)
    3. Put your license key back in and try to validate.
    4. Send a screenshot of the license page via email.
    5. Also send over the diagnostic file from Admin > Diagnostic Tools > Execute Diagnostic. We really just need the sugarcrm.log file.

    Something here should give us a better clue.

    Hello there,

    I apologize for the delay in response here. For whatever reason I did not receive your second response with screenshots on our ticketing system. I was able to find your email and figure out what is probably going on.

    Did this SugarChimp upgrade correspond with a large SugarCRM upgrade for you? SugarChimp is showing in Sugar6 bwc mode. This could have happened either because the Sugar6 version was accidentally installed, or because your Sugar instance was originally on Sugar6 when SugarChimp was installed.

    Either way, we need to get our SugarChimp updated to be in non-bwc mode. To do that, we have a unique package to install alongside your SugarChimp: https://www.dropbox.com/s/024n3caxxa7yktu/sugarchimpforceupgrade.zip?dl=0

    Download and install that new package into Module Loader. Once complete, run an Admin > Repair > Quick Repair and Rebuild.

    This update should change your admin page to show the correct menu options. There should no longer be a license configuration option, but rather 'SugarChimp Configuration'. Inside there, you should be able to set your license key up on Step 2. Does that get you what you need? If not, we may need to re-install SugarChimp for Sugar8 as it looks like the Sugar6 version would be installed.
