#1823 - Syncing multiple MailChimp account / multiple API

Closed Installation created by jennifera 8 years ago

Since we are opening in different countries we use different MailChimp Accounts. How can we upload and sync multiple APIs and access all campaign summaries?

    Hey,

SugarChimp can only sync with one MailChimp account at a time. The ability to sync multiple MailChimp APIs to a single Sugar instance is on the roadmap, but with no current timeframe. Your best option would be to consolidate your MailChimp accounts, and manage your different locations through MailChimp groups. I know that is difficult in some cases, but is the only way that SugarChimp can function properly. Let us know if this is a possibility!

Hey, can I find detailed info somewhere how to consolidate these different accounts? I'd need to reliably sync all data from all countries and am not sure how to do that.

PS: the "group function" (as far as I understand it) can be modified by the customers themselves, is that correct? > We would not want our customers to opt out of the "US" group or the "Germany" group.

      Hey Jennifer,

You can find a detailed walk through on how to consolidate MailChimp Accounts here: Consolidating MailChimp Accounts

In your particular case, you will need to have one Master List on your Master Account. From that List, Create all of your Groups options, then during the import process, after you choose how to map the fields, there is a screen that says, "You're All Set to Import". If you scroll down here, you will see a checkbox to choose to add these imports to a Group. You will need to check this, and everything else will be straight forward from there.

The Group functions is how you can consolidate those multiple accounts into one using a 'Locations' Groups. You can disable the ability for subscribers to change each Group through webforms, so they do not have that ability. We have many customers that use this method to effectively segment on the MailChimp side.

If this process is too intimidating, we can set this up for you. I would need to discuss pricing for this process if you would like to go that route. Otherwise, let us know if you any questions throughout this process!

    Hey,

I wanted to check in and see if you were able to get things working with the consolidated accounts? Are you still working on that process?
