#40 - Select security groups
Logged user is member of 4 groups, when I create the lead, system asks to choose security group from multiselect drop down, I chose only one group from drop down but system added all groups for the lead. It is not behaving properly. Please advise asap.

Most likely you have other inheritance rules that are running such as Inherit from Parent or Default groups. If that is not the case, what version of SugarCRM are you running?

I have unchecked the "Inherit from Parent", single default group is set for target creation. In current situation, I am trying to create lead. Still adding all groups to new lead. I am using SugarCRM Version 6.5.9 (Build 8653).

Tested on a blank install and was unable to replicate the issue. SecuritySuite settings: Additive Rights: On Strict Rights: Off New User Group Popup: On User Role Precedence : On Filter User List : Off Use Creator Group Select : On (this shows the multi select that you see on a lead create)
User Chris was assigned 3 groups; East, West, Central.
Logged in as Chris. Created a Lead, selected East only in the multi select and saved. Logged back in as admin, went to the new lead, and subpanel only listed East.

Happen to be testing something similar right now. The creator select option will only override the Inherit from Creator setting. The Inherit from Assigned To and Parent settings will still be applied if enabled. This is as designed. Although I think a case can be made to optionally turn off the Assigned To in this specific case.
