#2269 - SS and Reports in SuiteCRM
Are there any plans to integrate SS with the reports in SuiteCRM? Meaning the user would only see the returned records that he actually has access to? Unless it already does so and I don't know how to enable it. Thanks.

How would you like this to work? Filter who can see reports or filter the report results?

Filter the actual results so I just need to create one report and every user will only see the data they have access to.

Would you want the ability as the report creator to turn off/on the option to filter based on rights? Or always filter?

The more granular you can make it, the better. If you have an option at the report record level to filter on rights, that'd be great. If you can't do it at the report record level, then maybe a global SS setting to turn this feature on/off would be a great start.

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback. No immediate plans to get this added, but I'd like to make a push for this sort of improvement late summer/early fall.

The sooner the better for us because we are about to migrate a whole lot of reporting to SuiteCRM and having to create one report instead of dozens for our different sales reps would be great. Thanks again.

Any roadmap on this so I can plan things out. Thanks.

Just tested on 7.7.9 and it filtered the records by default to just show what the user has access to.

Really!?!!? When I turn logging on and look at the query, it does not use the SG tables. So I'm not sure how that could work?

It could be because I was using a non SG user. I will try again tomorrow to verify.

That could be it. The tables are showing when I output the generated queries for an SG/non-admin user.

You are right (I was using an admin user)! Sorry for wasting your time on this.

Not a problem! Glad it was an easy one.
