#218 - Layouts totally broken in Studio
When I try to customize the layout for any module in Studio when I click on 'layouts' I am forced to select a security group, and given the message "To create a custom layout for a Security Group select the appropriate Security Group and the layout from which to copy from as a starting point."
I do not want a custom layout for each security group. I prefer to use the default for all of them. but even If I do choose a security group and click "save" -- It still doesn't allow me to edit the layout It just asks me to repeat the same process for any and all remaining security groups until there are none left.
Then instead of allowing me to edit the N different unwanted layouts, it only offers me the choice to "create a group first".

The link for layouts used to look like this: with action=wizard. <table onclick="ModuleBuilder.getContent("module=ModuleBuilder&action=wizard&view=layouts&view_module=PDI_Vehicles");"
Now it calls the same with action=addlayout. <table onclick="ModuleBuilder.getContent("module=ModuleBuilder&action=addlayout&view=layouts&view_module=PDI_Vehicles");"

Click on the plus sign to expand the folder instead of the Layouts link. This will expand to show all of your layouts with "Default" being the only subfolder until you add a custom layout.
I can keep this open to see if I can alter the link to expand the node if the text is clicked instead of the plus sign, but everything else should work as normal.

Frustrating. How was I supposed to know that you have to go back to module tree-view and click on the folder to expand it?
Everything else in Studio lets you drill down by clicking icons (like subpanels for instance)
I suggest that when you click layouts, it gives you a list of Layouts to choose from "Default", "G1", "G2" ... as icons

I understand and get the UX issue. Remember that this is a slap on component that alters a ton of core code to get the functionality that people need for team security. So far this is the first complaint in 7 years on this, but I completely get it.
Suggestion definitely noted.

Sorry -- I guess I must be one of the few who use the icons more than the tree. I'm ok using the tree, it works for me.

Added better text about how to edit custom layouts in the latest SugarCRM CE 6.5.24, SuiteCRM 7.6.6, and SuiteCRM 7.7.0 releases.
