Can you give us the exact field name where you try to apply pattern and the corresponding pattern? You can add pattern only on field available through the studio.

I try in field billing_address_postalcode of Accounts. I put in Studio the pattern: pattern:99999-999
This is Brazilian Postal Code pattern.

Unfortunatly, if you use the postal code field inside the fieldset Address we can not add a pattern here but if you postal code field is in your layout as a "standard" field and not inside the fieldset Address that should be work.
