#1849 - Found bug MailMergeReports-Premium-v1.1.14-Sugar_6.4.zip while using the module

Closed Feature created by sumit 8 years ago

Hello Sir,

I implemented the MailMergeReports-Premium-v1.1.14-Sugar_6.4.zip on my SugarCRM Community Edition 6.4.2 but couple of things not worked properly,

1.In the admin section I am not getting any link to enabled the modules for the Mail Merge Report, 2.I am unable to generate doc from the detail view the only place where it is working is from list view of any module, 3.While Generating the doc I am not getting any button for Pdf generation as mentioned in the pdf doc that I got from your site, 4.While generating the doc from Contacts list view I am getting one error message when I click on Ok button then only the doc coming up in the word file. 5.I am unable to generate multiple contact in mail merge generation, 6.I can not see the role in the edit view of mail merge module.

Looking forward for your reply....

Thanks & Regards Sumit Sahay

    Hi Sumit,

Please, take in account that you are using the MMR 1.1.14 version for Sugar 6.4. In this version you don't have the same funcionality that in the MMR 2.5. You should review the MMR 1.1 manual.

1 and 6: this two funcionality are not included in MMR 1.1.14 2 and 5: this two errors could be a permission problem, please, review that you have the correct permission 3: you should install the cde or the Libreoffice, please review the "Requirements for PDF Documents" section in the manual (MailMerge-Reports-1.1.14-User-Guide.pdf) 4. We would need more information about this point

    Hi Sumit,

The errors that you are reporting are very strange. Please, give us information abour your system: Operating system, Sugar version, dedicated o virtualized server, etc. It seems clear that you have a SUGAR CRM 6.4 ¿CE or PRO? ¿other? About the point 3: are you going to install the cde o libreoffice? which version?

    Regards,

    Anabel

    Hi Sumit,

The “TypeError: document.getElementById(...) is null” is a typical problem with permission lack.....

What other plugins have you installed in your Sugar environment? The only explanation we have is that your Sugar environment has something very particular that makes MMR doesn't work properly...... Please, tell us the list of plugins (and their version) you have installed.

    Regards,

    Anabel

    Hi Sumit,

You have a lot of pluggins installed...The MMR 1.1 version is NOT upgrade safe, MMR plugin is upgrade safe from 2.0 version. In order to help you to solve MMR problems in your installation, you would need a copy of your files, not your data, only your files, would you send us by dropbox? Besides, I am afraid that the time we will need to solve the problems, will exceed the time of basic support.... We understand that you are not planning to migrate to SUGAR 6.5, aren't you?

    Regards,

    Anabel

    Hi Sumit,

About the PDF generation, acording the steps you wrote, there is a step you missed: to link the Libreoffice instalation with the MMR plugin, you must add into the config_override.php file the next:

    $sugar_config['DHA_OpenOffice_exe'] = '/opt/libreoffice3/program/soffice.bin'; $sugar_config['DHA_OpenOffice_cde'] = '';

But, there is something straing: you download the LibreOffice 5.0 but the path is about a LibreOffice 3 ¿?.

    Regards,

    Anabel

      Hi Sumit,

The PDF button must to appear if: a) the path is correctly configured b) There is access to the binary file from the Apache

Please, review the path and review the access permission to the file and to the LibreOffice installation in general: the apache server must to have access to them

And, what about installing LibreOffice 5 and then mention LibreOffice 3, you don't say anything about that .... could you explain us that?

      Regards,

      Anabel

One thing more, please, when you prepare the copy of your files to send us by dropbox (or wetransfer), please don't include the "upload" directory neither the "cache" directory in order to minimize the size of the zip.

    Anabel

    Hi Anabel,

Below are the commands we used for the installation 1. "sudo su" 2. download the package ( LibreOffice_5.1.0.1_Linux_x86-64_deb.tar.gz) from source 3. untar it by using "tar -zxvf (package name)" 4. go to its DEBS directory,go to its DEBS directory "Sudo dpkg -i *.deb" 5. "cd /opt/libreoffice5.1/program/" here we found its .bin file "soffice.bin"

I did change in the config_override.php file too as you suggested me above.

Though it is not coming, the Pdf button

    Looking forward for your reply.....

      Hi sumit,

We had problems installing LibreOffice in Azure some weeks ago, into a Linux CentOs x64. Finally we got it:

      • Install LibreOffice headless:

        yum install libreoffice-headless.x86_64

      • Install Microsoft standar fonts

        wget -O msttcore-fonts-installer-2.6-1.noarch.rpm

yum install curl cabextract xorg-x11-font-utils fontconfig

        yum localinstall msttcore-fonts-installer-2.6-1.noarch.rpm

      • It was neccesary to install the next to solve a Libreoffice bug

        yum install libreoffice-writer

      • To configure MMR in admin window: 'LibreOffice exe/binary path' (path to the libreoffice binary) 'LibreOffice cde path' (to leave empty) 'LibreOffice working directory' (e.i. '/tmp')

      We obtain it form http://diegolamonica.info/how-to-make-libreoffice-headless-to-work-on-centos-6-3/

Important: the first time that we run MMR after a LibreOffice installation, MMR fails, but MMR started wording from the second time ...... we don't know why

      Hope this helps you,

      Regards,

      Anabel
