Hello,

I just upgraded SuiteCRM version. I started getting this error. Warning! SecuritySuite no longer matches the version of Sugar that you are running. SecuritySuite will not work correctly until updated to 6.5.25. Upgrade now to SecuritySuite for 6.5.25

How do I upgrade?

    Hello Naveed,

    Now that you upgraded SuiteCRM go to your purchases at https://www.sugaroutfitters.com/orders and grab the SecuritySuite version that matches your SuiteCRM version. For example, if you installed SuiteCRM 7.10.2 grab the SuiteCRM_7.10.2_SecuritySuite_v3.1.8.zip file.

    Install this via Module Loader WITHOUT uninstalling first. Do not uninstall the current SecuritySuite. Once installed this error should go away. If not, then it couldn't update a value in your config_override.php and that will need to be manually updated. Let me know if that is the case and I can provide more info.

    To summarize, whenever you upgrade SuiteCRM you will need to install the matching SecuritySuite version for that new SuiteCRM version.

    Hi Jason, I have unfortunately installed security suite removing the old module and now I can't make it work again. Can you provide me more info on how to fix this? Thanks.

      Find a clean install zip for the version of SuiteCRM that you are on. Unzip and copy the following directories over to your SuiteCRM directory:

      • /data
      • /include
      • /module
      • /soap
      • /themes

      After doing that, log in and run a Quick Repair & Rebuild and Rebuild Relationships.

      You should then be able to continue on as normal.

    Hi, I did that and it got worse, now I can't see any users or user details, just a white screen. I have a couple of errors in the log:

    [ERROR] error: no ieID [FATAL] SugarBean::populateDefaultValues $field_defs should be an array [ERROR] Unable to load custom logic file: modules/Iframeapp/DispatchData.php [ERROR] Unable to get proper side for link created_by_link

      Looks like the repair and rebuilds didn't work. Please try that again. If you can't get in to do that then move the /cache directory to /cache_backup so that it doesn't exist anymore. This should force it to rebuild.

    Actually lots of white screens, 500s, and missing pages. I am making a mess of this :( I have tried to reinstall the module and now I can't install it again as it says "Table already exists : securitygroups"... I am stuck on this.

      That message shouldn't ever stop a reinstall from happening. Sounds like file permissions is causing everything to not work correctly.

      Try again to copy over the clean files from a blank, full SuiteCRM install that is the exact same version that you are on:

      • /data
      • /include
      • /module
      • /soap
      • /themes

      Then make sure file permissions are correct. To get by this for today it may be best to temporarily do 775 for permissions. Here is a script that may be helpful for setting that up: https://shanedowling.com/sugarcrm-permissions-script.

      Recommended permissions can be found here: https://docs.suitecrm.com/admin/installation-guide/downloading--installing/

      After copying those over you should be able to log in and do a Quick Repair & Rebuild and then a Rebuild Relationships. Doing another Quick Repair & Rebuild after that will not hurt.

      Then install the matching version of SecuritySuite for your version of SuiteCRM.

    Hi, no fix so far, I still can't access most pages so SecuritySuite is clearly not working after the update. I am in suitecrm 7.10.3 and using the correct version of SecuritySuite but I can't get it to work.

      I’m sort that you are running into this. SuiteCRM can have serious issues when uninstalling like we are seeing here. That is why it was recommended strongly not to do that. However, the steps I laid out always fixes it unless permissions are not right. If you can email me ssh and admin access to solutions@eggsurplus.com I can take a look and attempt to clean this up for you.

      Be sure to backup the app and DB prior to sending any access over. Also, if you have backups, restoring prior to uninstall might fix it for you.
