#3919 - Migrating Sugar cases to Zendesk tickets

We are in the process of migrating our support from SugarCRM to Zendesk. However, we have years and thousands of historical Cases in SugarCRM that we would like to migrate as historic tickets in Zendesk. Is this something that we can do with Fanatically Zen?

    Hello, thank you for asking about this. Unfortunately our integration does not have a SugarCRM to Zendesk ticket sync, however there are a couple options:

    1. Depending on why you want the old tickets in Zendesk and how you're going to use them, our integration does have a view into Sugar when you're looking at Tickets, Users or Organizations in Zendesk. We could configure it to show the old Sugar cases in this view. Would that be sufficient? This would be included out-of-the-box.

    2. If not, this is something we could customize the integration to do or we could quote a one-time conversion fee.

    I'm happy to get on a call and show you what option #1 would look. How would you like to proceed?

      I don't think option 1 works for us since we want our customers to see their old cases as tickets in Zendesk. I'm somewhat surprised that you don't get this request more often. Yes, we should talk about a custom project to understand if your costs would be less than what it would take for us to figure out this migration with other 3rd party tools.

    Hi again, really sorry for the slow response on this. This comes up every once in a while, but not enough yet for us to add it to the product.

    I've been looking into what it would take for us to do this as a one-off migration for you and unfortunately we're booked up for the next couple months for that type of project. I'm happy to help you find someone to do this migration for you however. I reached out to . They don't have a pre-built Sugar to Zendesk migration, but they were willing to take a look at what it would take. Would you like for me to put you in touch with them?

    In the meantime, if you're already using Zendesk or in a trial I can go ahead and get you setup on the trial for the integration and you can see what the integration will look like. It sounds like that piece will still be needed. Until the migration is complete, we could set it up so you could still be able to see the old cases in option #1.
