#1956 - Template not generating fields

Closed General Question created by FlashGordon14 3 years ago

I'm having issues generating documents. seems to be only taking [account.name] field and not taking any other fields. All the other fields remain as they did in the original template.

Are there examples, instruction documentation, or help videos available?

Thanks,
Isaiah

    Hello,

There are a few guidelines to follow when creating documents. The library that fills in the variables is based on identifying specific patterns (the different variables for example). When using a word processor and typing in the variables is it possible and even likely that additional features are added like orthographic assistant or other caracter replacement.

To avoid this deactivate any assistant from your word processor and try to create the content (text + variables) in a standard notepad text processor. Once the text is done, do a copy/paste into the word processor as plain text so that it cannot be changed by pasting it. The you can adapt the font size and other features on the full text all at once. This will avoid any changes to the code generated by the word processor where spcifing variables are concerned.

    Best regards,
