#60 - Security Suite show twice in admin

Closed Bug? created by N2ST Verified Purchase 11 years ago

Hi. I installed Security Suite on my upgrade SugarCRM from version 6.2.0 to 6.5.10. On my previous SugarCRM installation I had Security Suite version 2.3.2. Now If i browse the SugarCRM administration I see twice the config area of Security Suite: I see the newer/last config area and the older/previous config area. Why? Thanks in advance. Ivan

    The why is because SugarCRM didn't do a good job at being backwards compatible. The solution is to remove the old version from custom/Extension/modules/Administration/Ext/Administration/SecurityGroups.php then run a Quick Repair & Rebuild.

    Ok, now there is only the newer/latest Security Suite config area. Thanks. Ivan

    I'm facing the same issue, but there is no SecurityGroups.php in the custom/Extension/modules/Administration/Ext/Administration folder. There's only one file called securitygroupsadminoption.php. Working on CE 6.5.16 and Security Groups 2.6.8. But also 2.5.2 is still there.

      Henk,

      You see 2 config areas on the Admin page? That shouldn't be possible if you see just one file in that folder that is related to Security Groups. Try running a repair/rebuild. That should clean out this file:

      /custom/modules/Administration/Ext/Administration/administration.ext.php

      If you still see the issue, try editing that file above. There should only be one section of menu definitions. Specifically, only one "securitygroup_management" mention and one:

      $admin_group_header[]= array('LBL_SECURITYGROUPS','',false,$admin_option_defs, '');

      Jason, I mean that I see two versions installed in the module loader. The version 2.5.2. didn't disappear after installing later versions. So it looks like 2.5.2 is still installed next to the actual version. Henk

      Oh, that is fine and expected. That is just how SugarCRM works.
