Hi all,
I'm curious about primary groups. What is the use for them and why is it necessary that a user has one? Haven't found anything in the documentation about it. But I may haven't searched well enought.

Good question. It is used to determine which custom layout to use if a user is in multiple security groups with custom views.

Thank you for the verification. You might wanna put this into the manual (if it isn't already) , it took us quite a while to figure that out ourselves. Especially because the German translation in all of the German language packs is horribly wrong on this one. "Startseiten Gruppe" doesn't mean anything even closely to "Primary Group". :)

This should be something like "Gruppenlayout" if it is really only about the Layouts to make it a little more self explanatory. Or "Primäre Gruppe" for a direct translation.
