#1904 - Module Loader does not display uploaded ZIP

Closed Bug? created by michaelhowell 8 years ago

I am trying to upload 6.5.16_SecuritySuite_Full-Edition_v2.7.3. My version of Sugar is Version 6.5.16 (Build 1082). Module Loader says the file has been uploaded -- but it does not appear in the bottom list. (I have scrolled up and down. I have even tried different computers and browsers.) I don't really have a clue of what is wrong.

    Hi Michael,

Sugar acts weirdly that way when it runs into either a file permission issue that caused it not to be able to take the upload and place it in the /cache directory or it ran into an upload limitation in PHP. That would require editing you php.ini and increasing the upload_max_filesize and post_max_size values. Restarting Apache would be needed in that case.

Here is a script that I usually recommend for fixing permissions: http://www.shanedowling.com/sugarcrm-permissions-script/

    Hope this helps! -Jason

Unfortunately, these instructions are for Linux. I am using Mac OS X 10.10.4 (14E46). I cannot seem to find documentation for using Sugar on Mac.

That should still work on OSX as it is Unix based. But since you are on OSX there is a higher chance that you are running into that php.ini issue. Address that first, restart Apache, and see if that fixes your upload issue.

    Hi Michael,

Just noticed that your trial was cancelled. Sorry that it didn't work out! Hopefully you can find the cause of modules not being able to be uploaded to your instance! I would have thought the php.ini settings would have done it. Your Apache or PHP logs may give you more clues as well.

Hi Guna, this should really be a new case as it's unrelated. There is an old CE Teams module out there that is not SecuritySuite. I have no idea if Grinmark supports that. Grinmark has stated that they support SecuritySuite, but if you are running into issues then you will need to reach out to Grinmark. They should be able to help you out.
