#1746 - Assign group based on dropdown

I have several different groups that have different views. I do not want to display the Security Group subpanel, but would like to know if there is the ability to assign/add a Security Group to a record based on the value of a dropdown on the form.

Example: Group A has created a ticket, so the ticket is assigned to Group A. Group B does not have access to view that ticket unless it is escalated to them. I don't want Group A to see the subpanel, but if they choose 'Escalated to Group B', the Group B will be added as a Security Group to gain access to the relevant information in that ticket.

    Hi there!

    Yes and no. Not out of the box, but what's great about Sugar and SuiteCRM is that you can add that logic if you wish. Here is a sample logic hook for adding a group based on a field value:
