#1369 - Pipeline filtering
Hi, I just installed and configured a similar scenario to the one that you describe in the documentation. We are trying to setup a west and east sales team and to make sure that the west sales team manager will see the sales pipelines in the dashboard containing only opportunities from west team.
However, in our tests, the pipeline dash-lets contain all opportunities. We want to be able to use all the pipeline dashlets available in sugar CE. Is this a bug? Are we missing something?

Hi Lucian,
It's not so much a bug as it is something that isn't supported out of the box. Some dashlets use hard coded queries which bypass the standard way of pulling data that applies security permissions. That may or may not be by design. However, this isn't desired for many users of SecuritySuite. This must be what you are running into here. If you have a developer that you work with they can easily alter this hard coded query to add SecuritySuite support. I would be happy to help guide how to do that.

Hi Jason, Thanks for your reply. I'm a developer, you can guide me :) However, I'm concerned: I wouldn't change the sugar core code since it would potentially break the future upgrades. Isn't it?
We found a workaround by using an additional reporting ad-don that works fine with SecuritySuite. It's "Reports for SugarCRM CE" by Richlode Solutions. Lucian

If you found a workaround I'd suggest just working with that. There are ways to handle core code changes and to even do it in an upgrade safe way, but I don't think there will be many new upgrades for SugarCRM CE anymore. At least for the time being.

I'm working on a new release for 6.5.22 that will include SecuritySuite permissions being applied on default charts. If anyone ever needs this here is how you add the custom code to any chart:
