#3634 - Email field in Sugar settings is not editable, and sadly, incorrect

Closed Installation created by petereckart 6 years ago

The settings ?-box says that the email address is auto-detected and not editable, but that's a problem. It auto-detected my display address with my full name, but my actual exchange account is a shorter version of the same address (peter@iphionline.org instead of peter.eckart@iphionline.org).

    Hi Peter,

Auto detected address is kind of primary key as it is unique. I've updated the field with the address you provided.

Terrific. That part works now. I also successfully saved the licence key.

When I go to "Signatures," it returns this error: "Unable to get CRM items. Please test CRM connection on the Settings tab." User error is possible here, as I was expecting that the extraction would be to an Outlook contact, but these seems like its trying to engage with the SugarCRM. Is there a way to run the signature extraction tool and create a new Outlook contact, or was that just a beautiful dream?

    Hi Peter,

The dream came true with another plugin we developed (it is way easier to extract and use, it is for Office365 part only, no CRM involved): http://www.grinmark.com/products/textminer/textminer-for-office-365.html

Man, I've got to become a better Googler. I'll try that. Thanks for your support.

A report of failure and success, and one more question.

At the risk of looking like I'm stupid, I'll say that I followed the instructions for TextMiner, it saw my correct address, is enabled in "Manage Add-Ons" in Office365 Outlook online, When I try to run it, I get this error: "Add-in Error: Something went wrong ..." So I click on the "RETRY" button, and then "Add-in Error: This add-in may not load properly, but you can still try to start it." and then I click on the "START" button and then the "TextMiner" right-side area is completely blank.

Gloryoski, I was about to say that this behavior happens in both Chrome and Firefox, but it actually works in Firefox.

Is there a way to tell TextMiner to batch-process my email and give me all of the guesses at once?

    Hi Peter,

Try to use Chrome in incognito mode, looks like cache issue.

Unfortunately TextMiner can not batch process emails.
