#3349 - <> Sugar displayed in all emails

Closed Installation created by martinwatkins 6 years ago

Hi, When I install the Outlook plug-in for our Office 365 environment I'm given the option of enabling or disabling but it seems to be for the entire environment. We only need a select group of staff to use Sugar but by enabling all staff see '<> Sugar' displaying in each email. Can you let me know if there is a way to avoid this as those who do not use Sugar do not want to see this. Thanks Martin

Hi Martin, When you install the plugin in Admin mode you have an option to make it turned off by default. Those users who need it may then enable from their settings.

Microsoft Links: Manage user access to add-ins in Outlook Enable add-in in Outlook

    In a few words:

For add-ins applied to the whole organization, there are three options: Optional, enabled by default Optional, disabled by default Mandatory, always enabled. Users can’t disable this add-in. For the #1 & #2, end users can enable add-ins by turning on them in OWA (Outlook Web App) > Options > General > Manage add-ins.

    Regards, Denis

Thanks Denis, I think (but am not certain) that I set it as optional (disabled by default) with the intention of just letting those who need it configure for themselves but some people who didnt need it started to see the <> Sugar. Does that sounds possible / likely? I'll try it again and make sure that is what I do but if you have any other suggestions that would be useful,. Martin
