#243 - Issue with theme

Closed Bug? created by ryancrist 10 years ago

Hi, I installed the Google-style theme and it was working great with KReporter 3.0.5. I noticed that there was an upgrade to Kreporter In which I installed. Upon installation, I noticed that the entire side-bar area was blank and many of the theme features stopped working. I also tried to install the theme on a fresh install of sugar to see if I did something wrong, but in doing that I noticed that the theme wasnt working at all.

My Sugar installs are being hosted with TMD Hosting. I have given you access to the two systems for your review cloudtools.us/cloudcrm UserID: admin Pswd: pass1234

cloudtools.us/crmdemo UserID: admin Pswd: pass1234

Thanks! Ryan

it looks right on cloudtools.us/crmdemo ... on the other also Kreportr seems to be not installed. In any case the two products have no interaction ... (the design matches) and I never experienced and issues with them together. but I see that you also installed another theme there. That might caue the conflict.

Hi Christian, I've been tweaking it to get it to work. Here is where I experienced issues:

    1. After a fresh install of SugarCRM, I Install your Google theme. I then activate it under "themes" but not much happens. The only thing that changes is the login screen.
    2. I installed another theme, as you saw. Once it was activated, I was oddly allowed to properly activate your theme.
    3. When I upgraded Kreporter from 3.0.5 to 3.0.6, it made your theme unusable and unrepairable. I had to start over with a fresh Sugar Installation.
    4. I am unable to change the login logo as described in your documentation. I actually have to go to the core files on the server and replace it with a file of the same name.

I dont think I should be having these issues should I?

    Thanks, Ryan

      Ryan,

no you should not. But ist seems there are some authorization and other issues on your system. Since on one instance it installed seemingly just fine and on the other it did not. This has certainly nothing to do with KReporter -- two separate products that do for sure not interfere.

Also if the logo is not considered it seems there are access issues on the one server of yours.

      christian.

btw one more question ... what do you mean by activate and the login screen changes? Does this mean you set it as default theme? You also need to change the theme in the user settings? Did you do that?

Christian, I think it's fair to say that these are obvious answers. But how do I go about fixing them? I understand that it's two separate products, but I'd like to know what to change. I can certainly get a refund on this as well.
