#1891 - Entity too large

Closed Installation created by brandon2 6 years ago

Running 6.5.22 Build 1055 I try uploading to Sugar and it tells me:

413 Request Entity Too Large nginx/1.4.6 (Ubuntu)

We've increased the upload size on our server to the max already.
What files are essential?
Is it feasible to upload the files individually or do they need to be in a .zip file

Thanks, Brandon

sounds like you need to increase the post size on your webserver. Thre factors determine the file upload (1) post size on the web server. How you set this in nginx I do not know. Apache has it as a regular paramater (2) the php upload file size and (3) the upload file size in sugar itself.

      Hi Brandon,

It would be good to address the post size issue as you will run into this issue with any module that is larger than a few megabytes. If you have someone that is able to do it for you it's pretty simple. They will need to edit the php.ini file and increase the size of both the upload_max_filesize and post_max_size values. To be safe, I suggest setting them to 50M each. Then they would need to restart Apache. You should then be able to upload the module and any future module you want to install.

Let me know if you still want a refund by replying here and I can get that processed.

Hope this helps! Jason Eggers SugarOutfitters
