#4351 - Does This Work With Custom Address Fields?
We have several module customizations that added address fields that are currently in the form of multiple TextArea-type fields. I was considering transforming those into Address-type fields, but am not clear if your statement in the How To Use doc, “Important: Addresses fields must be Sugar standard ones” , means that it only works on delivered, OOTB fields or works with any fields using the standard Address-type field.

Hello,
I will try to elaborate the phrase “Important: Addresses fields must be Sugar standard ones”. The module uses the standard fields to populate when an adress is identified and as source for locating an adress on the map. If you add other fields, like for exemple primary_address_street_1, primary_address_street_2, etc, the module will not know of their existance nor how to use them in its searches.
If you have customisations (like new address fields) to the "primary_address", "alt_address", "billing_address" or "shiping_address" the module will not be able to use those fields.

The address field is memo type (primary address_street), does it work or do you absolutely need an input type field ?

Hi,
This module requires that the address fields are those of the Sugar standard, without personalization.
If you use custom address fields then the module will not apply to it.
