#1525 - Sugar instance breaks after version upgrade

Twice now I've upgraded my Sugar instance since installing dashboard deployer. From 7.2.2.1 to 7.5 and again from 7.5 to 7.6. Each time I've upgraded, Dashboard deployer has broken my instance. After upgrade I get past the sugar login page, and my instance hangs at about 95% of the red loading bar, just before a dashboard would appear. If I go into my code and comment out dashboard deployer in ~/modules/ext/include, my instance loads. I then have to uninstall and reinstall dashboard deployer to get functionality back.

Is this a known issue?

    Hello,

    He have tried to reproduce your bug on a standard version, with the latest version of the module installed, from 7.2.2.3 PRO => 7.5.2.0 PRO => 7.6.0.0 PRO. We did not encounter any difficulties with any of the upgrades. The main conclusion that comes out of our testing is that the module creates some instability with some other module, dashboard or customisation you might have on your SugarCRM.

    Considering all of the above, i recommend that before you do an upgrade to uninstall "Dashboard Template Deployer for Sugar 7" and keep all the tables linked to the module (when asked to do so). This way you'll save all the dashboard templates for the next install. After uninstalling the module, proceed with upgrading your Sugar. Once Sugar is upgraded, reinstall the module. You should find all the dashboard templates from before the upgrade.

    I just tried to uninstall Dashboard Deployer while leaving tables linked. Uninstall hung at 87% and now my instance won't load at all. White screen before login prompt. Frustrating.

    You will have to check the logs to find out why the uninstall process crashed. Can you provide us with the errors from the Sugar log?
