#806 - SugarChimp isn't seeing my SugarCRM lists for import

Closed Installation created by jeremy1 9 years ago

We have a few thousand contacts in SugarCRM. I can get SugarChimp to see my MailChimp lists, but not the SugarCRM ones. On the config page, it shows no lists for the last section.

On the scheduler setup, it's also telling me: Note: In order to run Sugar Schedulers, add the following line to the crontab file: * * * * * cd ; php -f cron.php > /dev/null 2>&1

Though when looking in the scheduler part of SugarCRM, it appears to be running. I setup the brand new MailChimp list and created fields that match the SugarCRM fields. I then mapped them in SugarChimp admin. Still nothing's being imported to MailChimp.

Hi Jeremy, the reason the lists probably are not showing up in the list is because the Sugar Target Lists are already set to sync with a MailChimp list. You can verify this by going to your Sugar Target Lists, click on one and see if the "MailChimp List" field is set.

If you've made changes to the Field Mappings, you can run a Sugar to Mailchimp Re-Sync so that the new field mapping data gets updated on the MailChimp side. You can do that by following these instructions: https://www.sugaroutfitters.com/docs/SugarChimp/force-a-list-re-sync

The Scheduler setup in step 2 will always say that whether or not you have it installed. It's just a friendly reminder to do it if you haven't already. If you can see that the scheduler is running, then you are good to go there.

Let me know if you have any additional questions. Thanks!

I'm not seeing Target Lists in the navigation in SugarCRM. Is that a permissions issue? Seems odd it would let me install plug-ins and change config settings, but it wouldn't give me that.

It's unlikely that it's a permissions issue. Target Lists is a default module that comes with Sugar out of the box. Can you get to this link: https://pax8.sugarondemand.com/index.php?module=ProspectLists

Sometimes the Target List module link is hidden in the module dropdown list.

I can reach that. I went through the process to force the list re-sync from Sugar to MailChimp. The list is still showing as zero 5 minutes later.

I just looked in the MailChimp API call history, and it shows this error ...

    2014-09-23 19:46:48 GMT nope 70.42.242.1 lists/webhook-add json 0.843s MailChimp-PHP/2.0.4 2.0 (508) Invalid_URL

That's a good sign. Were the MailChimp lists updated? Can you see those from your Sugar Target List now in MailChimp?

On the MailChimp API error, that's expected. We are pro-active on making sure your lists are properly setup to sync back to Sugar. You'll see the 508 error when the MailChimp List webhook is already setup properly. You can verify this by going to one of your MailChimp lists (in MailChimp) that are synced to Sugar, go to the Settings tab, then Webhooks. You should see a webhook entry there that links to your sugar instance.

The MailChimp list was not updated. Could it be that I shouldn't have picked "contacts" from the dropdown on step 4?

That shouldn't have made a difference. That's only for the new subscribers that get added to Sugar from the MailChimp side. Something else must be going on.

I'm going to reach out via email now. Let's see if we can setup a time for a call and screenshare tomorrow. Be looking for an email from chad at sugarchimp dot com. Thanks!

I just want to close the loop here. There were no subscribers in the Target List yet, so nothing was syncing. Everything synced well once subscribers were added. Thanks!
