#3122 - Proxy setting is ignored in validation step

Sugar sits behind a proxy and the proxy settings are set correctly in the system settings for Sugar. I can make requests from the machine using a test PHP script, but it continually fails for SugarChimp. Looking at the code for the license validation, the proxy settings are never used in the cURL request.

How do we use SugarChimp behind a proxy then?

    Hello Lucas,

    Thanks for looking into that issue. I have not tested using the proxy on outbound requests, as the majority of our clients use the reverse proxy for inbound requests and just directly open access to MailChimp and SugarOutfitters. With that being said, we should definitely support proxy settings on our outbound calls. I will look at our cURL requests and make any adjustments necessary to accommodate your proxy settings.

    I'd like to get on a call with you to ensure that our code updates will correctly address your server needs.     Hello guys,

    just going to close this circle here. We were able to get the outbound proxy working and addressed in the 7.9.1 release of SugarChimp via the outbound proxy config setting. We've got our training setup, so I'm looking forward to getting to the fun and time-saving aspects of the integration soon! I'm going to close this case out now.
