#3104 - Config.php file permissions change

Closed Bug? created by cparsley Verified Purchase a year ago

After installing SugarChimp, running Quick Repair & Rebuild all seemed fine. Lists were syncing without issues. This morning though my config.php file had root permissions and site was unreachable till permissions where updated.

I also noticed this on occasion when testing on our dev server, but chalked it up to our dev server may have some issues of it's own. I installed SugarChimp on our production servers last night, ran Quick Repair & Rebuild, synced a list and confirmed contacts mail chimp activity was present within dashlet.

On dev servers, I noticed this happened a few times, but did not notice a time of day type of pattern.

Thanks,

Clint

    Hello Clint,

Thanks for reaching out. That is very strange. I'm not sure how our installation could be changing the permissions on your Sugar config.php. Even more interesting is that it sounds like it is happening repetitively. The only SugarChimp processes that are running constantly are the schedulers and webhooks, which wouldn't have any way of touching your server permissions.

I have never heard of anything like this occurring. Something you could do is to try and narrow down when the permissions change is happening and see if you can line anything up in the sugar logs that corresponds with the issue. Let us know if you find anything SugarChimp related in your search.

    Thanks,
    Jon

    Thanks Jon,

I would agree that it's quite strange ... log files was the first place I looked and found nothing in them in the time frame permissions where changed.
