#2158 - What field types are supported by Sugarchimp for passing data?

Closed General Question created by paul11 7 years ago

Please can you confirm what field types are supported by Sugarchimp?

We have the following field types in SugarCRM : - Dropdown -
- Checkbox - - Integer - Currency - Date-

When we pass these through into Mailchimp they do not populate. We have used a mixture of number, text or date fields in Mailchimp

However the data is not passing. Is there any documentation about field type mapping?

    Hi Paul,

Most of those you have listed can be passed for sure. The only one in question would be the 'Checkbox' field. In your cases, you are mapping those fields to the exact same field types in MailChimp? Currency and Integer are passing to Numbers in MailChimp? Date to Date, and Dropdown to dropdown? Those should be working without a hitch. The Checkbox needs to be synced with a text field I believe, in order to say 'yes' or 'no'.

If those are mapped appropriately, then we may need to take a deeper look at what is causing the issues.

    Thanks.

    Hello Paul,

We've coordinated via email since this support case so I'm going to go ahead and close it out here. Let me know how if you're able to find anything with the client server side that is causing your issues. As always, you can start a new support case or shoot us an email if you have any more trouble with the integration.

    Thanks,

    Jon
