#1975 - Adding to Target List is not syncing to mail chimp

Closed Bug? created by Malarkey Roofing Admin 8 years ago

Hello,

I have a target list which I am adding leads to (Malarkey Newsletter). Our mailchimp currently shows 3555 emails on that list, Sugar show 4253. The difference is not syncing over to mailchimp.

How can I get these new leads from Sugar CRM to sync over to mailchimp?

    Hey there,

I'm happy to help out. To ensure that you are pushing as many of those subscribers over as possible, you can queue a resync from Sugar to MailChimp. You can do this by going to your Health Status page: Admin > Health Status (SugarChimp section). Then at the bottom of the page you will see a place where you can queue a resync for each list. Change the dropdown for Malarkey Newsletter to 'Queue a Sugar to MailChimp Resync' and press sync.

This will force SugarChimp to double check that it has everyone on the Target List pushed over to MailChimp. It is not uncommon for your Target List and your MailChimp list to show different numbers. This can occur for a number of reason that are best explained here.

After queueing the resync, give the scheduler 30 minutes to run and be sure it is finished. Then, go back and check your lists to see if the gap has been closed. Let me know if you have any questions about that process or the reasons that your lists could still be different.

    Thanks.

Thank you for the prompt reply.

I have already tried re- syncing the list to have no effect.

To make sure that I was not getting opt-outs, and duplicates I created a separate list, and was able to get the leads over to that Mailchimp List. The trouble is in getting the new leads from Sugar, over to mailchimp and on the same list.

Thank you. Also available by phone is easier.

OK, that makes sense. So you are able to create a new Target List, and sync it with a new MailChimp List, and get all of your Leads there? For SugarChimp, anytime a new Lead is added to the Target List, it should get added to the corresponding MailChimp List.

If we cannot pinpoint the solution shortly I can reach out via email about setting up a call.

New Leads with a new list, working perfectly.

New Leads, old mailchimp list, not working.

OK, just to clarify, are you manually adding those Leads to your old Target List? SugarChimp does not automatically put new Leads in Sugar onto the Target List. If you are doing that and they are still not getting into MailChimp, then I will set us up a call to take a look at what is going on!

Correct, I am manually adding them to the target list.

We were able to get on a call and figure out the syncing issues. Let us know if you've got any more problems! Goodluck with your Campaigns, I'm closing this case out.

  • "SugarChimp is exactly what we needed, it syncs nicely between MailChimp and Sugar. The added MailChimp dashlet is very sophisticated. Works great – thank you!"
