#1705 - Evaluation Questions

Closed General Question created by cfgurney 8 years ago

We're evaluating your product.

  1. Is it possible to bring back MailChimp clickthrough data to the Target's record in SugarCRM?
  2. What is the process for reporting on all members of a Target List and their actions on the MailChimp campaign? We can see an individual's actions in the Dashlet associated with the record, but we need to report at a wider level.

    Hey there,

Thanks for trying SugarChimp out! I'll answer the questions to the best of my ability, if I miss anything just let me know!

    1. Our dashlet is what we use to bring the MailChimp clickthrough data to the Target's record in SugarCRM. If you have the dashlet setup and are not seeing what you are looking for, can you explain what your needs are for this?

    2. Reporting on MailChimp Activities is a feature of our professional plan, which you are currently using. We import your MailChimp Activities into Sugar as a custom Module called SugarChimp Activities. In order to report on MailChimp Activities, is create a Sugar Report based on SugarChimp Activities, then filter on whatever you like, such as 'MailChimp Campaign','MailChimp List', or 'Activity Type'.

Let me know if I didn't clarify something, or missed the mark!

      1. It appears that there was a slight delay in bringing in the clickthrough activity to the dashlet. Our tests are now appearing.
      2. After I sent the note, I found the module. One thing I couldn't find was what are the valid values for "Activity Type". I can execute a report based upon "send" but I don't know what other values are available.

Hey, I'm glad to hear that the dashlet was what you were looking for!

    1. Great question: Activity Types are: 'send', 'open','click','subscribe','unsubscribe'.

We generally find that reporting inside of MailChimp is a little more powerful, but it is often just more practical to do it within Sugar. Is there anything else I can help with?
