#1655 - Sync of Groups/SegmentationLists

Hi,
Is it possible to sync TargetList in Sugar with a SegmentationList in MailChimp?
Reason I ask is that I talked to MailChimp and they told me that a Contact that appears in several lists will count several times in the pricing model. So they recommended me to use one MainList and then do segmentation on it in MailChimp to create SegmentationLists which would then only count Contacts in the Main List.
Though using MailChimp for segmentation is very limited as we have a number of Modules in Sugar that we need for the segmentation.
So my idea would be to do segmentation in Sugar to feed a SegmentationList in MailChimp.
Is that possible? Or do you have another way of solving this?

    Hi Joakim, was just chatting with you :)

    Yes, SugarChimp supports MailChimp Group syncing. You can sync a Sugar dropdown or multiselect with a MailChimp Group. Using MailChimp groups is a good way to use a single list and keep your subscriber counts low.

    You can use a Sugar Report to generate your list on the Sugar side. This will allow you to sync the smallest number of people records over to MailChimp. Using the SugarChimp Field Mapping tool, you can then send over any additional Sugar data to MailChimp to use for further segmenting. Does that makes sense?
