#1440 - Re-linking SugarCRM with a list that was manually imported into MailChimp

Closed General Question created by sleeharwin 8 years ago

Hi,

One of our team had problems creating a list using the integration and ended up manually importing SugarCRM data into a MailChimp list. Is it possible to link this mailing back into SugarCRM so that results can appear against the necessary records with any necessary changes being made as if it had been run as a standard SugarChimp process ? My apologies for the poor wording of this request. Many thanks.

Hello, sorry for the delay! We've been in and out this week for the American holiday.

If you haven't linked the MailChimp List to a Sugar Target List, that's the first thing you need to do. You can do this by going to Sugar > Admin > SugarChimp Configuration, click on the 3rd tab, then check the box next to the MailChimp List name you created and it will eventually import all of your MailChimp subscribers to a Sugar Target List. More detailed steps can be found here: https://www.sugaroutfitters.com/docs/SugarChimp/how-to-sync-a-new-list (go to the MailChimp to Sugar section).

Going forward, changes made to the people on the list from the MailChimp or Sugar side will show up on the other side (add new people, unsubscribes, etc.).

Does this make sense? This should be all you need to do. Let me know if you have other questions. Thanks!
