The only module installed is SecuiteSuite and there has been no modification to the base install. It happens on both task and case. See attached image for screen capture of role security group has.

so it would seem that user "khalid" can only assign tasks to himself and not to anyone else.

I like to add that i tested another scenario just know but encountered same issue. I added another user who is not part of any restrictive user to the "Greenvale" group and then logged an "khalid" and tried assigning the task to that other user that i added to the group but i get the same error, "You do not have access to this area. Contact your site administrator to obtain access." although behind the scene the task was assigned to that user but on the surface it gave the above error and also user "khalid" cant view this task in list of his task although he should be able to since he is creator of the task.

I ended up reinstall SuiteCRM and that took care of the issue.

Ever since i installed the theme, i have ajax issues on SuiteCRM as well and it was working fine before. For example, i cant add tab or dashlet anymore where as before installing this theme it worked just fine.

I just noticed something else also, while moving to one page to another when i usually get hour glass, on that pop window it says undefined instead of loading for example and then it goes away.

We were talking couple days ago when you were trying to help me with installation of SecuritySuite. During those discussions, i changed all permissions to 777 and have not changed back to anything else yet.

I have the same issue. In addition after installing my SecuritySuite which was working fine seems to be broken now. I get undefined1undefined pop error on browser when i try to assign security group assignment. I have reverted back to default theme and even uninstalled the metro theme through module loader but still get the same error. In addition, i have done quick repair as well but problem with securitysuite still persist. Please help as SecuritySuite was working fine and it broke after installing metro theme. I would hate to reinstall the entire suiteCRM as i have done lot of work already so doing new SuiteCRM install is not an option.

Can you kindly tell me now that its install which folder suppose to what permission since during troubleshooting i enabled 777 on pretty much everything, i dont want public deleting our stuff as i am deploying the crm in production. Appreciate your help and your guidance to help me finally get it installed.

Hello, i followed the instructions in the first two articles mentioned above and set the directory and files permission to 777 and 666. Logged off and then log back on to suitecrm, reran the module installer and got the same error at 17%. Is there any other workaround or suggestion? i was thinking if i unzip the file and upload to module directory, will that work? sort of like manual install? appreciate your help
