“ProximitySearch” plugin is upgrade safe and compatible with both SugarCRM® 6 and SugarCRM® 7 applications.

Disclaimer - Safe Harbor

Take a backup of your SugarCRM® before proceeding installation process. Installation process will create or overwrite “custom/modules/Accounts/views/view.detail.php”, “custom/modules/Contacts/views/view.detail.php” and “custom/modules/Leads/views/view.detail.php” files for Sugar 6. While we back up these files just in case, it is good to always do so yourself as well. If you have any customization applied on above modules, than you have to make a copy of your system files before installation and required to merge the code in existing file to keep your existing customization.

In case of Sugar 7, no existing files are overwritten, but it is still a good practice to backup prior to install.
