Name, title and brief bio?

David Faye is the CEO of Faye Business Systems Group , a leading provider of creative and innovative business software solutions. His background includes more than 20 years of experience in delivering accounting, ERP, and CRM software solutions to mid-market organizations.

When you designed and built this app, what problems were you looking to solve for SugarCRM users?

Users of both Sugar and Quickbooks currently have to do double entry of quotes and sales orders and changes to master files like customers and inventory items.    Our integration eliminates double entry, makes both systems more accurate, and streamlines the entire order entry process by allowing salespeople to enter orders in Sugar and have the ability to immediately send them to QB for processing. In addition, salespeople now have visibility of Quickbooks sales history from within Sugar.

What inspired you to build this app?

We believe Sugar is the most powerful, flexible, intuitive, and cost effective CRM solution available today. Quickbooks is the most popular accounting and ERP software for SMBs. To date, there has not been a comprehensive solution to bridge the two packages. We wanted to bridge that gap to provide SMBs with a completely integrated ERP and CRM solution. In addition, by just looking at our own Sugar install base, we got incredible feedback and encouragement that this integration would be welcome.

What attracted you to being a part of the Sugar ecosystem?

We've built a number of integrations to date for Sugar - Sage 100, Intacct, Constant Contact, and Authorize.Net. The response has always been nothing short of fantastic, and this inspires us keep creating solutions in the Sugar community.

What other apps have you been involved with in the Sugar ecosystem?

We've developed a number of integrations that have all been featured on SugarForge: Sugar-Sage 100 Integration, Sugar-Intacct Integration, Sugar-Constant Contact Integration, and Sugar-Authorize.Net Integration. It's our mission to integrate best in class applications across the board with Sugar.

Why are you a leading contributor in the SugarCRM community? What are the benefits that you experience from your involvement?

It's an exciting time to be working with Sugar as it experiences all kinds of corporate growth.   Our organization is committed to Sugar and building world class integrations between Sugar and other top solutions in their respective categories.    As we build these integration applications, it not only obviously enhances our business financially, but it also gives us great visibility in the Sugar community at large.   We also get to feel as though we're helping Sugar grow as well by making it more compatible with other software.

What has been the most rewarding part of being a part of the Sugar ecosystem?

There are so many great resources available in the Sugar community. From SugarForge to the different communities to Sugar Corporate support, we feel like we can do anything we want to do and get great assistance and encouragement from everyone. We feel like the "open source" part of Sugar not only applies to the software but to the company as well. Sugar is an "open" company, and that's inspiring.

What do you want to build next for Sugar?

We are working on building an application that integrates Sugar and Yammer to bring all of Yammer's cool collaboration tools and functionality into Sugar.
