Name, title and brief bio?

David Faye is the CEO of Faye Business Systems Group , a leading provider of creative and innovative business software solutions. His background includes more than 20 years of experience in delivering accounting, ERP, and CRM software solutions to mid-market organizations.

Why are you a leading contributor in the SugarCRM community? What are the benefits that you experience from your involvement?

It's an exciting time to be working with Sugar as it experiences all kinds of corporate growth. Our organization is committed to Sugar and building world class integrations between Sugar and other top solutions in their respective categories. As we build these integration applications, it not only obviously enhances our business financially, but it also gives us great visibility in the Sugar community at large. We also get to feel as though we're helping Sugar grow as well by making it more compatible with other software.

What other projects have you been involved with on SugarForge.org?

We've developed a number of integrations that have all been featured on SugarForge: Sugar-MAS90 Integration, Sugar-Constant Contact Integration, and Sugar-Authorize.Net Integration. It's our mission to integrate best in class applications across the board with Sugar.

What inspired you to create this project?

We believe Sugar is the most powerful, flexible, intuitive, and cost effective CRM solution in the cloud. We feel the same way about Intacct. There needed to be integration between these two "best of breed" solutions so that users could confidently select both products and know that the circle of life between CRM and ERP was closed.

What business pain points were you solving specifically?

Users of both Sugar and Intacct ERP currently have to do double entry of quotes and sales orders and changes to master files like customers and inventory items. Our integration eliminates double entry, makes both systems more accurate, and streamlines the entire order entry process by allowing salespeople to enter orders in Sugar and having the ability to immediately send them to Intacct for processing.

Is there anything that the users should know about those? Something hidden/new in this project? Think of this as an opportunity to describe how it works to a user?

We've tried to implement this integration with the ultimate in flexibility. Users can configure the sync'ing to work automatically on a scheduler, in bulk mode with the click of a button, or record by record. It works the way you work, which is how all software should be.

What would you say to encourage additional community participation?

Sugar is a great open platform, and it's up to us in the community to make it even better. The more community participation, the more value Sugar can bring to the table, the more popular Sugar will be, and the more those of us in the community will get back. If you give, you get.

What do you want to build next for Sugar?

We are working building an application that integrates Sugar and Quickbooks soup to nuts in an easy to use and easy to configure interface. Expect this soon!
